Citizens Other Than Malaysia

Kindly consult the Consular Section before proceeding with any visa payment.
All payments are not refundable if the visa is rejected.

 

Tourism, business and other types of visas may be issued to citizens of countries (other than Malaysia) visiting Brazil:

  • on tourism
  • to visit family/friends
  • to take part in sports competitions as amateurs, provided no income is received (prize award accepted). (RN33/99)
  • to attend or participate in conferences or seminars, provided no income is received in Brazil. (RN65/05)
  • as bearer of a "Protocol da Polícia Federal" (RN14/98)
  • eligible to opt out for Brazilian nationality. (CP129/98)

Citizens of countries other than Malaysia are adviced to inquire about visa requirements. Please be aware that the visa requirements listed below may vary according to the applicant's nationality.

  • Passport valid for a minimum of 6 (six) months.
  • Applicants are required to go to this link: SCEDV and fill up the online form.
  • Round trip ticket or complete itinerary with passenger's name. Itinerary must be on airline or travel agent's letterhead paper or identified with travel agency/airline stamp. Itinerary must also show dates and cities in Brazil of entry and departure. (For airline employees only: ID card and support letter from employer replaces ticket or itinerary).
  • Participants in conferences or seminars must provide letter of invitation from organizers in Brazil.
  • Notarized letter of consent signed by father and mother or guardian (proof of guardianship required) for applicants under 18 years of age when travelling alone. If travelling with only single parent, a legalized letter of consent of the other non-accompanying parent is required.

The Embassy may at any time request any additional documentation or information deemed necessary, including proof that the applicant has sufficient funds for self-maintenance for the duration of stay in Brazil (e.g. bank statements covering the last 6 (six) months.

The Consular section of the Embassy of Brazil in Kuala Lumpur is open to public from Mondays to Fridays (except public holidays) from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

 


IMPORTANT

The Embassy requires a minimum of five (5) working days for the issuance of visas and other documentations upon receiving the complete documentation. Extra time may be needed in some circumstances.

NOTE: A BRAZILIAN VISA IS NOT AN APPLICANT'S RIGHT AND MAY BE DENIED. A VISA DO NOT GUARANTEE BY ITSELF THE RIGHT OF ENTRY OR SOJOURN IN BRAZIL AND MAY BE CANCELLED AT THE BRAZILIAN IMMIGRATION AUTHORITIES' DISCRETION.
